Wickham Park Closed Tournament
Held on 17th May, Finals night 19th May2009
For those of you who did not come along last night you missed some fantastic TT and great excitement.. The final was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening with Simon Philpsz, last year’s Champion battling it out with Mark Romano who I found out on the night was 1982 Champion. Eventually Mark won the best of 7 match that could not have been more closely fought battle by winning 11-9 in the 7th game.
Congratulations to Mark on his win and to all the players last night for giving us such a good evening, Simon Phillipsz, Chris Hall, Eric Knowler, Martin Saddler, Neville Miller, George McGlone, and Ian Brown.
A special vote of thanks from all of us to Eric Knowler who once again organised the event and without whom it could not have happened.
