INTRODUCTION

 

Wickham Park Sports Club Ltd is a private Club with Table Tennis, Tennis, Cricket and Football Sections. It is based on a Club House which has a Bar and Table Tennis Hall. Membership of one of the Sports Sections entitles adult members to Social Membership of the Club able to use the Bar whenever it is open. The Club also offers Social Membership to people who do not want to participate in a Sport but just use the Bar facilities.

 

TABLE TENNIS

 

The TT Section has use of the Club's Hall with 2 tables from 19:00 – 23:00 Monday to Thursday and on Sunday morning from 08:00 – 13:00. Use of the Hall for table tennis at other times is subject to availability and/or payment of a Hall hire charge of £5 per hour.

 

MEMBERSHIP

 

The Club year runs from 1 st May to 30 th April and various types of membership are available.

 

  1. FULL £40 Use of the TT facilities for practice and unlimited League matches
  2. JUNIOR £15 As for full adult members but for under 18's
  3. STUDENT £15 As for full members but for those in full time education
  4. SPECIAL NEEDS £15 As for full adult or Junior member depending on age.
  5. SOCIAL £25 Use of the TT facilities for practice and up to 4 League matches
  6. SUMMER LEAGUE £15 Use of the TT facilities for practice from May to August and unlimited Summer League matches
  7. SUMMER PRACTICE £10 Use of the TT facilities for practice from May to August

 

The Membership fee includes the cost of League(s) registration but an additional charge of £2 is made for each match played.

 

Members may bring guests to the Club, subject to availability of tables for a fee of £3 per visit per guest.

 

Applications for membership can be made by telephone,Email or post to the Secretary and a cheque for the appropriate amount sent to the treasurer made out in favour of the Sports Club. All TT members become shareholders of the Sports Club and are entitled to participate accordingly.

 

LEAGUES

 

The Club runs teams in the Bromley and Croydon Winter Leagues from September to April and the Bromley Summer Leagues from May to July. We have teams at all standards of play and can usually accommodate new members in existing or new teams. League matches are played on weekday evenings and have priority use of the tables. Tables can be used for practice when not in use for matches or on Sunday morning the Clubs official practice time.

COACHING

 

Private coaching is available from some members and use of the TT facilities for coaching is free during the TT hours but at other times a Hall hire charge of £5 must be paid.

 

ACCESS AND SECURITY

 

Keys to the Hall can be ordered through the Secretary for a refundable deposit of £5. All members are responsible to ensure the security of the premises by ensuring that the tables and dividers are put away in the cupboard, windows and doors are locked on departure and all lights turned off.

The club is situated in the pavilion at Wickham Park Sports Club, access is via drive between No's 228 and 230 Pickhurst Rise.

 

There are 2 TT tables and matches are played , during the season, from Monday to Thursday night.

 

Practice is available on Sunday mornings and in the evening when the hall is not being used for matches.
